Unique jewel reworked. Drops from the Mist Mother.
API for mod authors
New
Mod authors can now make their mods work with Path of Valheiman through one supported, versioned API: progression and stats, equipment and storage, tree and profession XP, skill-freeze exemptions, creatures, difficulty and events. Docs and examples: valheiman.com/api
Vacuum Chest
New
Rune Carver mastery: a chest that takes finished goods from smelters, kilns, spinning wheels and windmills and feeds them. Shift + wheel sets the radius, Shift + E what it collects.
Belt upgrades
New
Belts can be upgraded at the workbench up to level 3. Each upgrade adds a small extra implicit: food nourishment, food duration or mead duration, depending on the belt's biome.
Skill tree
Charged attack

Second Edge
Changed
Charges the next attack after a secondary attack hit: 2 s cooldown, shown in the text.
Rolling Charge

Spell Primes the Strike
Changed
Charges the next attack after casting a spell: 2 s cooldown, shown in the text.
Critical Charge
Changed
Charges the next attack after a critical hit: 0.2 s cooldown, shown in the text.
Leap Before the Blow
Changed
Charges the next attack after a jump: 2 s cooldown, shown in the text.
Masteries
Full Harness
Changed
The mastery is removed: the wisp and the wishbone already have their own cells next to the belt for everyone. Tree bonuses to utility item effects now also count items in those cells. The point spent on it is refunded.
Interface and usability
Interface
Quick slot keys
New
Food, potion, arrow and tool slot keys can be rebound in the PoV settings, Hotkeys page.
Skill limits
New
A world admin window lists every skill, including skills from other mods: freeze a skill or set its maximum level for everyone on the server.
Combat difficulty
Changed
Valheim's own combat difficulty is never changed on existing worlds. Picking the Hard or Merciless PoV preset (first-time world setup or the settings window) sets it to Very hard; you can change it right below.
SeneaL UI
New
PoV's HUD panels (level, effects, monolith, rune shield, gauges, crafting queue, followed tasks) appear in SeneaL's HUD editor, and SeneaL places them.
20 PoV interface settings (equipment window, tool bar, keys for food, potions, tools, arrows, quick stack and sort) are in SeneaL's settings window.
Potion, wisp, wishbone and key cells appear among SeneaL's slots; locked cells stay hidden.
SeneaL's built-in PoV support finds the equipment cells in the right place again.
All of this works with SeneaL's PovEquipment setting turned off; with it on (its default), SeneaL replaces the PoV equipment window itself.
The interface mod warning window on opening the tree is removed.
Mod compatibility
New
Inventory mods can now keep PoV's equipment cells in their own slots while PoV's rules and effects keep working (API: storage).
Item Drawers accepts drops again, EpicLootProgressionFix patches alongside PoV again, and the Salvage tab no longer covers Jewelcrafting's socket tab.
Equipment armour
Changed
All equipment gives its full armour again. Light and magic gear keeps its evasion and rune shield on top.
Item tooltip
Changed
Our item tooltip is on for everyone again (you can still turn it off in the settings).
Sigils
Changed
Sigils can be set into the sockets of corrupted items (sockets still can't be added to them).
Food cells
Changed
Without a belt there are no food cells: only a belt opens them.
Role badges
Changed
New Buildmaker and Legendary Buildmaker role badges.
Minimap
Changed
The area level on the minimap is shorter and smaller: 'Lvl N'.
The fishing rod is under Tools > Fishing in the crafting menu.
Arrow slot
Changed
One arrow slot is open for everyone, even without a quiver; quivers will add more later.
Right-clicking arrows or bolts puts them into the arrow slot.
PoV Link
Fixed
With PoV Link installed, its button in the tree corner always appears again (it sometimes went missing).
Fixes
Fixes
Whisper of Niflheim
Fixed
A character with the Whisper of Niflheim and nodes taken in its radius no longer crashes the game on respawn or login. Those saves load again.
Scythe in the crafting menu
Fixed
The scythe is now under Tools instead of Bombs and throwing.
Jewelcrafting
Fixed
The Salvage tab no longer covers the Jewelcrafting mod's socket tab at the gemcutter's table.
On the Move
Fixed
The On the Move crossbow keystone works: reloading no longer slows you to a walk, and sprinting or jumping no longer cancels it.
Barbed Riposte
Fixed
Barbed Riposte returns 250% of your thorns to the parried attacker instead of 100%.
Bombs
Fixed
Sticky Charge stays on the enemy and explodes on it, Impact Detonation explodes on contact, and the Ember Bomb bursts where it lands instead of 3 seconds later.
Equipment slots
Fixed
Quick stack and sort mods no longer take food, potions, tools or other items from your equipment slots.
Upgrading a worn item at a station keeps it worn.
The Delete plate no longer covers the stack buttons; side plates line up under the weight plate and tuck behind the inventory like the game's own.
The first-time setup lets you choose whether to use the equipment window.
Equipment
Fixed
No more grid of empty cells under the inventory; the HUD food block no longer covers the Forsaken power; the doll keeps its hair on.
The wisp, wishbone and other utility items no longer vanish: the utility row opens by itself. An item taken off with right click and a full bag drops at your feet instead of disappearing.
Grave Tether keeps tools in their cells; worn gear picked up from your grave is worn again; belts from other mods go into the belt slot.
Items stack again; a chest's place-stacks button no longer takes food and tools from your cells.
The equipment window shrinks to fit between the bag and the crafting panel instead of covering the bag on narrow screens or a large UI scale.
Salvage and Disenchant no longer offer worn items, hotbar items or items in equipment slots; every row shows the item's tooltip.
No more invisible unclickable area under the inventory: clicking there drops items again and the tree can be dragged there.
Food, potions, tools and gear can be dragged from an open chest straight into the equipment slots.
Combat
Fixed
Heavy Grip + Throw the Axe throws two-handed axes. Root staff roots no longer turn into seekers in the blight mist. A thrown shield keeps its transmog look. Rune shield recharge delay reduction is capped at 75%.
Bow draw speed bonuses stack past the old 22%; converted damage (Rune Edge) gains increases of both damage types.
Thrown shields and weapons that bounce off the ground return to your hand and are equipped again. Tower shield and buckler block bonuses show in the tooltip and count for the shield throw.
Ice crystals are visible again (the model was blown up around the player); the Raise the Earth ridge is as big as its wall and stands on the ground.
Free Pair: a third one-handed weapon replaces whichever of the two was put on earlier; the Leader's Horn (or another item without an attack) gives way to a weapon.
Norns' Patience and the Skill cooldown nodes reduce skill cooldowns again (they gave 0%): −10% per small node, −25% for Norns' Patience.
Shield bash (charged too) hits Bonemass and other large enemies again: it strikes everyone within reach and in the swing.
Crafting and items
Fixed
Staves give Rune Carver experience and can be salvaged; game capacity applies to meat and trophies; Megingjord gives 1-3 food slots and shows its +150 carry weight.
Native Bait and Deep Cast work again (the fishing rod wasn't recognised). With Native Bait casts are free and any fish bites as if on its own bait, ocean included; no boss kill is needed.
Crafting runes, runestones, sigils and punches at the Rune Carver's Table gives Rune Carver craft experience (less than gear: they're consumables).
Salvaging items gives a little craft experience - a quarter of what crafting them gives.
Performance
Fixed
The equipment window no longer floods the log with font warnings, and the doll redraws less often.
A closed equipment window no longer costs FPS: the doll, its cameras and cloth simulation switch off while the window is closed.
Fixed hitches for everyone on a server when the world changed: the mod's world data (runestones, dungeons, monoliths, altars, Salvage Float crates) is no longer stored as game global keys. Existing worlds are converted on first load.
The mod is lighter: 315 → 173 MB.
Blood shield
Fixed
A refreshed shield (Blood Seal, Staff of Protection) keeps its duration bonuses instead of falling back to the base duration.
Cultivator
Fixed
The cultivator no longer offers flint, branches, dragon eggs, glow worms or royal jelly for wild sowing, only plants.
Tooltips
Fixed
Fixed an occasional 'Object you want to instantiate is null' error when hovering some interface elements.
AzuEPI and ExtraSlots
Fixed
With AzuEPI or ExtraSlots, worn items no longer drop on the ground when you join a world.
